The Istituito Comprensivo Diaz is located in Laterza in the province of Taranto. Here Urmet has implemented a high-performance IP telephone system with the IPerTalk system: an IP switchboard equipped with 3 traditional local lines, 1 VoIP line and 16 extensions. This solution allows intercom communication between the schoolmaster’s office, the teaching secretary's office, the teachers' room, and the porter's lodge; The switchboard sorts incoming calls according to days and time slots, utilising the autoresponder feature. In the schoolmaster office and at the front desk's office, 7" videophones of the Utalk Touch model, equipped with a built-in 2M camera, Bluetooth and voice recognition, have been installed. All other offices are equipped with VoIP telephones of the Utalk CL model.

A Sinthesi Steel IP video door phone entry panel was also incorporated into the system for the entry of students participating in extracurricular sports and recreational activities. In the event of staff absence in the building, the entry panel has the functionality to forward the video door phone call to a smartphone.
