In a quarry in Carrara, a world-renowned center for marble quarrying, processing, and trading, Urmet implemented a lighting management system.

The client's requirements were met through the installation of devices from the Radio Power system of the Yokis line.

The client's primary need involved remote control of the lights located in the large rooms and along the extensive network of tunnels over which the extraction site is spread. To this end, eight timed relay modules were installed, each of which controls a single meter and operates the related light line that extends hundreds of meters inside the tunnels. Thanks to the installation of the Yokis hub access point, the traditional local control of individual lights is implemented by the remote control function through the YnO app.
Connecting the Yokis hub to the Wi-Fi network via an ad hoc antenna (generally used in video surveillance systems) solved the complex problem of connecting the devices together caused by their great distance and the thick walls of the quarry.

In addition, the "Scenario Creation" function on the YnO app made it possible to meet the client's second requirement, which was the definition of customized lighting on/off scenarios. Two different types were created: the first for full-time scheduling and management of the system on weekdays (Monday-Friday); the second dedicated to controlling the devices, during reduced hours, on Saturdays.
